Inclement Weather Policy

The following is the Rainbow Corner policy on cancellation due to inclement weather:

In the event of inclement weather, Rainbow Corner Preschool and the Developmental Play Group will follow the school closure decisions of the Bradford Area School District.

If the radio announces that Bradford Schools are closed, preschool will be cancelled. If there is a one hour delay, the morning preschool session will also have a one hour delay. If there is a two or more hour delay, the morning session will be cancelled. The afternoon session will resume if the Bradford Area School District resumes after the delay. You may monitor these closures during bad weather by listening to WESB/WBRR radio, or by logging onto their web page at www.wesb.com. You may also call the CARE office at 362-4621. Parents ultimately make their own decision about the safety of driving their child to school.

If the preschool needs to close for any other reason besides inclement weather, you will be notified by CARE staff.

Also, if parents need to bring small children with them to drop of their preschooler, please feel free to call ahead to the CARE office and the staff will come out and pick up your preschooler from the vehicle. Please do not leave children in vehicles unattended or leave your vehicle running when your car is unattended in our parking lot.
